• The HOPEX Data Discovery tool allows you to extract data from various sources and import them into the data catalog of your repository.
• The tool provides embedded connectors for multiple Data Sources.

Key Features

HOPEX Data Discovery tool exists in 2 two modes and therefore 2 modules:

Online mode. This is the module presented here. It allows you to connect to data sources directly from the Data Governance solution desktop

Standalone mode. The module can be deployed within the client's infrastructure. In a first step, the client connects to its data sources to extract the metadata description into a file. In a 2nd step, the client imports this extraction file into the HOPEX Data Governance solution. Customers should contact their MEGA sales representative to obtain this standalone module.

Requirements

• HOPEX Data Discovery license (code DDISC)
• This module works in online mode with the HOPEX Data Governance solution.

Prerequisites

• The HOPEX data discovery tool requires certain technical conditions to operate and access data sources.
• Each data source has connection parameters. This document presents the connection string options of JDBC driver for each data source.
